Removing the Old Front Bumper
First, let me apologize for not having any pictures of the removable of the front bumper, unfortunately, I don't think they would have been much help to be honest anyhow. However, I will do my best to describe how to remove the front bumper and install the new KITT bumper.
Removal of the front bumper is actually pretty easy, it just requires the right tools and some patience. There are many bolts which hold the bumper in place, namely along the lower spoiler underneath the car, inside the fender, and along the top of the bumper underneath the hood.
The bolts underneath are for the most part tabs which expand as you push them in. To remove these simply grab the head with a pair of pliers and gently pull on them till they come out. Be careful not to stress the plastic or you can rip the head out. The bolts on the top side are simple bolts and I am sure you will be able to figure that out.
On the inside of the body there are four bolts on each side which holds the nose to the fender. To remove those you will need a deep well, 10mm socket. You simply unbolt it and the nose will fall right off.
Installing the New KITT Bumper
Installing the new KITT nose is pretty much the same as removing the old one, except backwards. The only difference is that you have to make a bit of room for the new custom nose. In my case I removed all of the old honeycomb which acts as a shock absorber to the front bumper in the event of an accident. The part of the bumper required by law is that big flat piece of steel that the honeycomb is attached to. That part HAS to be left there. Otherwise if you get into an accident, your engine is likely to land in your lap.
Again in my case I am simply test fitting the nose to the body, and KITT noses from each vendor will require different amounts of fitting and adjusting to make it right.
